I. There is a problem in society today. That problem is:
Obesity is a huge problem in our society and obesity is due to a lot of greasy and fast food items or simply just too much of a good thing. Obesity and health care isssues tie perfectly together. If we raise taxes on unhealthy food we will try to put a stop to obesity and we might be earning money for health care.
II. Facts that demonstrate that there is a problem are:

We all know that there is a problem with the increasing rate of obesity. In Maine the obesity rate went from ten percent to twenty percent which mean that people are eating and drinking too much of something. By putting a tax on unhealthy foods and beverages we are trying to stop obesity and we will get some money for health care.
